Nepali cinema DREAMS featuring Anmol Kc and Samragyee Rana was pirated some days ago. According to director/producer Bhuwan Kc, two who were involved in pirating the movie was arrested at the capital. He further added, ‘They will be taken legal actions and we will recover the loss caused by the piracy’.
Bhuwan Kc has demanded 1 crore for the loss caused by the piracy. Bidhan Gurung who pirated DREAMS is a staff at Highlights Nepal. Gurung further supplied the copy of the film to another person named Chandra Nagaju. Highlights Nepal staff and their computer has been kept by the investigators for further investigation.
Highlights Nepal is an online movie and music distributor company in Nepal. Om Gurung, the head at HN accepted the film was pirated from his company through his staff. Gurung is willing to help in legal action against piracy of DREAMS.
Bhuwan Kc lost his cool as DREAMS is still to be released in different foreign countries. Kc thanked SSP Sarbendra Khanal, Film Development Board chairman Raj Kumar Rai and artist association chairman Ramkeshar Bojati who helped in the same.
