Bollywood star Salman Khan has got a great relief as the high court of Mumbai suspended his sentence for the hit-and-run case, 2002.

The lower court had decided to sentence Khan for five years in prison after he killed Noor Ullah Khan 13 years ago in a car accident. Khan had drove over him as he was sleeping on a pavement injuring four others.

Salman Khan’s final hearing is on July. The court has extended his bail as he was expected to be in prison from Friday.

After some hours of the judgement by the lower court, Khan reached the high court where he got bail for two days. He argued his driver was driving while the accident happened where the judge denied his statement.

But now Khan will need the court’s permission to travel abroad, said prosecution lawyer.
