Shirish Kunder sends legal notice to Neupane on charge of copying ‘Kriti’

Not long after Shirish Kunder‘s short thriller film ‘Kriti‘ began gathering rave surveys inside a day of it’s release, a Nepali short movie director Aneel Neupane had blamed Shirish Kunder for “taking the plot” of Kriti from his short film titled BOB.

At to start with, Shirish pummeled the cases on Twitter however most recent reports that have surfaced affirm that Kunder has sent a legal notice against Neupane and looked for a written statement of regret from him.

The legal notice expresses that Shirish has made Kriti as a “professional film”, shooting for which started in February 2016, after which it went into post production.

The Manoj Bajpayee, Radhika Apte and Neha Sharma starrer 18-minute long flick released online on June 22, 2016.

Neupane, in a public statement, had guaranteed that his short film BOB was uploaded on vimeo (as a private video) for course among his “close friends” path back in October 2015 preceding it was uploaded on YouTube on May 12, 2016.

Shirish’s notification said that he couldn’t have acquired a duplicate of BOB and charged that since the script of Kriti was with a few people, it was very conceivable that Neupane ran over it and afterward made BOB, reports Business Standard.

The report further referred to the notification to Neupane, saying, “Accepting your position is right that the two movies are so comparable, then it is you who has encroached our clients’s copyright.”

Kunder has allegedly requested that Neupane outfits an “unconditional written apology”, abstains from making any oral or composed remarks on “Kriti” and brings down “BOB” from the web instantly and avoid uploading the same or any part thereof on whatever other medium.
