Nepali cinemas to participate in San Francisco Global movie fest

For the first time Nepali movie will be participating at the San Francisco Global movie fest which will be held at the States. Federation of Indo-American which kicked off 21 years ago gave official entry to Nepali artists and film. The festival will start from August 7th and end at August 16th.

The organizers’ nominated Gorkha International Group L.L.C.America‘s chairman as well as Takewondo trainer Prakash Thapa as the festival’s global director. Thapa was felicitated by the chairman of federation of Indo-American San Francisco last month. At the fest, more than 30 short, feature and documentary films will be participating, as said by the organizer. As far as from Nepal, cinema ‘Chocolate‘ and ‘Tata Byebye‘ will be participating at the festival. Director Thapa further added, ‘Sunil Thapa and Pujana Pradhan will be attending the festival from Nepal’.
Thapa has aimed to uplift Nepali cinemas in days to come. The 10 days festival will premiere more than 300 films and will be judged by a team of juries from 15 countries.
