Western photo agencies almost always seem to mix up Indian actresses. This time they  has been mistaken for Deepika Padukone at the Cannes Film Festival 2017 by an American photo agency instead of Sonam Kapoor. Coincidentally,  both Sonam and Deepika are attending the fest this year.
Sharing a photo of the Bollywood actor, the American stock photo agency captioned it, “Indian actress Deepika Padukone arrives for the film The Meyerowitz Stories in competition at the 70th Annual International Film Festival in Cannes, France on May 21, 2017.” However, the Neerja (2016) actor is yet to react to the goof up.
This is not the first time for Sonam. Earlier in 2011, she was tagged as an unidentified guest by a popular International news wire service. This happened when at the screening of the film, The Artist.

A similar incident happened with Deepika too at this year’s Met Gala fashion event. The international media mistook her for actor Priyanka Chopra, who was also present at the event.
