Actress Angelina Jolie went under an operation to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes to cut the risk of cancer. The 39 years old actress has a mutation of BRCA1 gene, which rapidly increases the risk of developing ovarian cancer and breast cancer.
Her mother, grandmother and her aunt also died of the same. Jolie told she was planning to get the latest preventive surgery for some time.
According to Jolie’s doctor, she did the most correct thing. She wrote, ‘I went through what I imagine thousands of other women have felt. I told myself to stay calm, to be strong and that I had no reason to think I wouldn’t live to see my children grow up and meet my grandchildren’.
So, now Anjeline will not be able to have more children but she is lucky as she already has a big family.
